CSTL Certificate Program's Purpose and Scope

A working knowledge of logistics function is imperative for anyone engaged in the supply chain and operations management processes. The CSTL curriculum focuses on the core processes, transactions and principles of shipping, transportation and logistics, including some of the advanced features such as 4PL, Cold Chain and HACCP.

CSTL training helps understand achieve customer service and distribution objectives.

PURPOSE

To introduce students to the main principles, processes, and terminology of logistics management.

SCOPE

The CSTL course contains the knowledge and skills required for managing shipping, transportation and logistics operations more efficiently, with a focus on continuous improvement.

CERTIFICATE VALIDITY

The certificate is valid for three years and can be renewed by retaking the course, or providing evidence of similar training. Renewal fee may apply.

Like all other courses offered by BRASI, the CSTL course has been developed following the ADDIE methodology of curriculum development. BRASI’s Program Advisory Group (BRASI PAG) is responsible for the development, assessment, and continuous improvement of BRASI’s training programs, following the guidelines contained in the standard ASTM E-2659.

The CSTL curriculum offers the fundamental knowledge and the main tools used in logistics management. These include shipping, inventory analysis, carrier selection, export documentation, cold chain management, routing guide, reducing transportation costs, revers logistics, multimodal transportation and related operations.

The CSTL training is intended for people who work in the customer service and fulfillment processes, and manage the inbound and/or outbound logistics operations. These processes are common to a company's own logistics operations as well as third and fourth party (3PL & 4PL) logistics providers.

Learning Resources

LEARNING RESOURCES include online interactive training modules, downloadable, print-ready handbooks, examples and exercise files and a quiz for each module.

Self-paced on-line learning modules and test includes 24x7 access to the BRASI Learning Management System through user login.

Students can take the final test upon completion of the course review, and download the certificate upon passing the test. Certificates for all of the BRASI courses are issued centrally by BRASI only.

Live Q&A sessions are held to answer any specific questions and explain key concepts as needed. Participation in the Q&A sessions is optional and is not taken into account for the passing score.

Refund Policy

The course is designed to be completed within three months. However, extension is allowed upon request.

Upon completing the course review, students can take the final test. Time allowed for the test is 90 minutes, and the passing score is 70%.

COURSE FEE, CANCELLATION AND REFUND:

The course fee as advertised on both the BRASI and Flowers websites is subject to change without notice. Cancellation is allowed within three days from the date of access to the course. Full refund is made within two days of cancellation.
